This beautiful square is located at the intersection of the public garden, the town hall, shops in the city center and not far from the Casino Barriere de Cassis.
It is therefore a crossing point where many Cassidains meet, especially on Wednesday and Friday mornings which are market days.
Place Barganon also hosts many events and turns into a Christmas market at the end of the year, before giving way, for a few weeks, to an outdoor ice rink for the delight of children.
The town hall also offers free photo exhibitions relating to cassidain life.
The fountain on the square pays tribute to Pierre Baragnon, former owner of Domaine de Fontcreuse in the 19th century and general councilor of the canton for 20 years. His perseverance allowed the supply of water from the canal from Marseille to Cassis.
